People always want to know which translation is best. Lets look at the most circulated English translation, the KJV or King James Version. KING JAMES VERSION

Written in Old-English, translated by over 30 scholars, over a period of 7 years with cross examination of translation, received and passed along by Christians who opposed Rome. The KJV has 783,137 English translated words based on the Greek text of Erasmus. It is believed that the individuals and keepers of the faith were able to obtain the better manuscripts, rather than some of the manuscripts obtained from the Vatican used to produce the Greek text used in other English translations. Further more, older does not necessarily mean better, concerning manuscripts.

OTHER ENGLISH VERSIONS

FOR EXAMPLE: The ESV is a modern word-for-word or literal translation. The translation was brought forth based on the work of two men’s newer Greek rendering in 1835, Westcott and Hort were their name’s. The ESV has been further reviewed by men who are dedicated to God’s Word, the English Standard Version has 757,439 English translated words based on the Greek manuscripts used. A personal note from brother in Christ Eric. The KJV and ESV claim to be a word for word translation. Here is the problem…

the difference = 25,698 words

So what happened to 25,698 words in the ESV and other modern translation with way less words? The Answer is in the Greek of Wescott & Hort, the individuals who produced the Greek text for most English translations. A personal conviction is that they corrupted the word of God knowingly & un-knowingly, here is why…see their own words.

3 Westcott & Hort quotes & 3 Scripture Search reply; and a personal conclusion.

QUOTE 1: 1847 Jan., 2nd Sunday after Epiphany – Westcott: “After leaving the monastery we shaped our course to a little oratory…It is very small, with one kneeling-place; and behind a screen was a ‘Pieta’ the size of life (i.e. a Virgin and dead Christ)…I could not help thinking on the grandeur of the Romish Church, on her zeal even in error, on her earnestness and self-devotion, which we might, with nobler views and a purer end, strive to imitate. Had I been alone I could have knelt there for hours.” (Life, Vol.I, p.81).

REPLY 1: The romish church, the pope current or past, infant baptism, other mediators than Jesus, the vicar of Christ, and good works for salvation are 100% false. Scripture strictly reproves, rebukes, and exhorts these doctrines. QUOTE 2: 1851 Dec. 29,30th – Hort: “I had no idea till the last few weeks of the importance of texts, having read so little Greek Testament, and dragged on with the villainous Textus Receptus. Think of that vile Textus Receptus leaning entirely on late MSS.; it is a blessing there are such early ones” (Life, Vol.I, p.211).

REPLY 2: Everyone know to be Christian in every century martyrs, pastors, and witnessnes affirmed the text they received. To call the Textus Receptus villainous is to deny what God did through His church and Word, bringing it to English in writing. 2 Timothy 2:2, this is one purpose the church exist, because God passed down His word to and through His church, believers in the New Testament evidenced in writing and sealed by His Spirit.

QUOTE 3: 1860 Apr. 3rd – Hort: “But the book which has most engaged me is Darwin. Whatever may be thought of it, it is a book that one is proud to be contemporary with. I must work out and examine the argument in more detail, but at present my feeling is strong that the theory is unanswerable.” (Life, Vol.I, p.416).

REPLY 3: Evolution is a lie, that is called true, 1 Timothy 6:20. Darwinian evolution is a sci-fiction imagination, based on birds, which admires the creation more than the Creator. Darwinian evolution toppled on itself with ZERO transitional fossils to date; men report bones of dead animals as proof, but they never show transition. All we can observe and know is stated in the scripture when two of kinds carried on the DNA, and that different kinds cannot mate. Darwin is a racist claiming some humans are closer to monkeys which scripture overturns, Acts 17:26.

CONCLUSION: There are dozens of quotes which cast down the reliability of the men or their work; Wescott & Hort are known to deviate from essential truth and are not regarded as people who can be trusted to transmit scripture, making their Greek Text vain, and the translations produced from it less than all of God’s Word; containing over 25,000+ less words of God’s Word. Get with a KJV or even try the FEV in English, a translation produced here at ScriptureSearch.info based on the KJV text, updated to common English; FREE FOREVER.
